Trollhunters Will Jim Become Human Again
Warning: The following contains major spoilers for Wizards: Tales of Arcadia, now available on Netflix.
Wizards: Tales of Arcadia picks up where Trollhunters and 3Below left off, focusing on Douxie and Merlin trying to terminate the Arcane Ones. However, Jim, the current Trollhunter, equally well as Claire, get thrown into the mix as they're placed on a standoff form with the Green Knight and the all-too-familiar figure of Morgana.
However, as much every bit Jim seems to be destined for decease, a big Haily Mary emerges at the end that saves him. That being said, his hereafter is still up in the air every bit his role in the war to come seems to have changed drastically.
JIM'S TROLL Problem
Later initially battling the Green Knight, Jim was stuck with an onyx crystal that's spreading nighttime magic and corrupting his soul. The Cabalistic Ones want him to become the Greenish Knight's lackey and the poison has Jim stuck in half-troll mode, although the spread volition eventually turn him into a mindless behemoth for the villains to control.
Merlin froze him in a mystical crystal cocoon, just when Douxie's squad gets thrown through fourth dimension to Camelot in the twelfth century, time pauses and Jim emerges from the cracked crystal to aid fight off Morgana. Jim's helped past bonding with Callista, aka Deya the Deliverer, so he holds onto hope. However, after they banish Morgana to the Shadow Realm once more, once they go back to the present, the crystal takes ahold of Jim, pregnant the Green Knight gets his prize.
JIM: THE ENSLAVED
Jim's taken when the Light-green Knight and the Arcane Ones launch a full-scale attack, aiming to go the Genesis Seals and Nari so they can eliminate humanity. With dark magic holding Jim's mind, he turns into an enforcer, helping the Greenish Knight and even looking to murder his friends. Every bit for his soul, Merlin and Douxie indicated there was no cure for the spread, and when Claire does become into the Shadow Realm, she discovers Jim'southward far gone.
Nevertheless, with a osculation, she reconnects with him in that location and believes there is still a chance to bring him back to the light. While in Camelot, the idea of their love and possibly growing old together kept Jim tethered to his humanity simply admittedly, this seems to exist thrown out the window when he attacks Toby, Krel, Steve, Claire and everyone else on the ground in the finale.
JIM'S Concluding FATE
Yet, when Morgana redeems herself and drops Camelot on her and Arthur, killing them, Jim appears to be given a new lease on life. The Cabalistic Ones are temporarily dispatched past Douxie, only before Jim -- now broken out his trance -- and Claire could kiss, he turns to stone. Luckily, her tears break the rock shell and human Jim emerges, thankful for a second chance.
It seems the night magic is gone from his soul but without his Trollhunter amulet, he's just a mere human again. He doesn't have his supernatural weapons or armor anymore, but when he does try to elevator the Excalibur sword left behind, while he isn't ready or worthy right now, the series hints Jim is indeed the man for the job. With Rise of the Titans to come and the Arcane Ones yet hunting Douxie and Nari, Jim could become the ultimate Trollhunter.
